Raj Indian Restaurant – Restaurant Review
Are you looking for somewhere in Bristol to enjoy a nice meal? Are you looking for the best Indian or Tandoori Restaurant in Bristol? If so then you should enjoy the Raj Indian Restaurant, located in King Street, Bristol.
The Raj Indian Restaurant may not look like much from the outside but wait, and let the food do the talking. The restaurant is below street level and having requested a table we were seated fairly quickly and presented with the menus. The menu is very interesting with lots of items which I had never tried (or indeed heard of) before, from curries to tandoori specialities. I took some time in perusing the menu and everything looked good.
You will find something to find all tastes and I’m sure something you have not tried before. All the flavours were amazing.
The menu is vast and in these circumstances, I always try something new. I wasn’t disappointed. A very nicely presented and cooked meal with some Indian sundries and desserts also available. I found the whole experience to be very enjoyable and quite authentic. The fact that you are downstairs you actually lose the sense of where you are, so you could actually be anywhere – the atmosphere, food, smells and sounds lead you to believe you are miles away from the street where you entered. I really enjoyed the visit and my meal, and next time I am in Bristol I will certainly return.
The restaurant is very cosy without being overly cramped and there was a nice vibe/atmosphere.
Another small touch was the free WiFi – always nice to have.
