Queen Locations

Queen Locations

Queen Locations

The Queen Locations site is run by Judit from Barcelona (Catalonia) and the site documents her trip to London in February 2019. Judit visited many Queen related locations and mapped them on some Queen itineraries. There are also Queen related locations for Barcelona, Munich, Osaka, and Montreux with other cities to come in time. This is ideal if you are a Queen fan who wants to be in the same location that Freddie, John, Roger and Brian have been in at some stage in history. These locations have been added time an time again to create a great website resource for lovers of the band Queen. Please do take some time to visit the website and see for yourself. Perhaps one of the locations is near you?

It is nice to see some new Queen sites coming on stream, so I would encourage you to visit the page and take a look at the content on this really interesting site.

Website Update

October 2021 – I checked out the Queen Locations website and I found that it was still on line but was not showing an location information. The site was asking for an upgrade – if you are the website owner then please do take a look at the site and let me know if it is back up and running.

However, if you are still looking for information about Queen in London and locations where Queen have been , then you can click my own fully interactive map of London, on the Queen in London section.

Queen Vault

Queen Vault

QueenVault.com

QueenVault.com is an online resource for Queen, unreleased material, B-Sites and rare Queen Songs. It also covers Pre-Queen, Queen + Paul Rodgers, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, Roger Taylor, The Cross and chart information. The site is well updated as there was a Bohemian Rhapsody style design to the site, as well as info on the Movie Soundtrack available – so current content is there for you.

Queen Vault is not just a Queen fan site, this is almost a Wikipedia or Encyclopedia for Queen fans. On the site you can find information on pre-Queen, Queen+ other artists, Queen and Paul Rodgers, Queen+ Adam Lambert, Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor, John Deacon, Album Releases and Charts – it is so vast, you really should visit the website. If you like looking at albums, singles and releases then this site will be the one for you. As a Queen Fan, I have all the main albums, but there are a few listed here which would be rare items, which I would love to have in my Queen collection.

The QueenVault website is very well updated, as the latest update has information about Queen The Greatest, the products being released to celebrate Queen’s 50th Anniversary. Check out Queen Vault for more information and for a great read, but you will be there for a while.

FMQ – Freddie Mercury and Queen

FMQ – Freddie Mercury and Queen

FMQ Freddie Mercury and Queen

The FMQ, Freddie Mercury and Queen website has been running for a few years and has everything about Freddie Mercury and Queen. The FMQ website covers everything from Freddie Mercury’s childhood in Zanzibar, Freddie growing up in India, his move to the UK and then his change of name from Faroukh to Freddie. The site covers every aspect of Freddie’s life and music. It also covers Queen News, Links, Books, Articles and the people about Freddie. Lots of reading on this site and I look forward to visiting the Freddie Mercury and Queen FMQ page again soon.

There is so much on this website.  From start to finish, some of the highlights of the website include Freddie’s First Steps in Zanzibar, Freddie’s time growing up in India, and his travel to the UK. There is also great information on Queen forming, the first few albums, Live Aid, and Freddie’s last days. So much information which a Queen fan, new or old, might be interested in. There is also a great Links page which I’m glad to say has a link back to Shane’s Quen Site (Thank you FMQ webmaster) , plus you can find information on books, articles, Queen band members, and much much more …

Piotre Queen Remixes

Piotre Queen Remixes

Piotre Queen Remixes

The Piotre Queen Remixes website is a very interesting website as it shows how Queen songs could be remixed. It is Wonderful content if you are interested in music remixing or even how an existing song can be re-interpreted. I also like the multitrack section where you can get studio style multitracks of Queen songs.

On the website you can find a lot of great music and remixes. There are remixes, EPs, Albums, Video clios and Multitracks. For me the Queen multitracks area is a wow and an must go. I love listening to the multitracks and hearing the isolated vocals and individual instruments within the Queen songs. you can hear so much on those multitracks, such as guitar on Radio Ga Ga which is hard to hear on the final produced track.

You can also find this site on Twitter, Facebook, Mixcloud, Vimoe and YouTube, so you really should take a look at the website and see for yourself what this talented Quieen music lover has done. Finally, you can also find a section called ‘other sites’ which is essentially a link section to other related Queen / music websites, and on there you can find a link back to my own Queen Fan Site (so thank you very much to Piotre / the webmaster on that site).

I often re-visit this website because I know more will be added every few months – so why not take a look yourself at this great website.

Queen Concerts

Queen Concerts

Queen Concerts

Queen Concerts was set up in 2002 and is still being updated. There is information on every Queen Concert as well as concerts performed by Queen band members. Check out the Concert information, ticket stubs, tour programs as well as a wanted and for sale section. If you have been at a Queen Concert or would have loved to have been at a Queen Concert then this website is for you. There is so much valuable information on this site you will be on it for hours. Also, the Queen Concerts website is now on Instagram so there is no reason for you not to check them out.

The Queen Concerts site is run by Martin Skála from the Czech Republic. Having seen Queen with Freddie Martin became a hue fan of Queen and attended the tours after Freddie had passed, such as the Queen with Paul Rodgers and Queen with Adam Lambert. Martin has seen Queen about 50 times at this stage – so you are getting information on this website that you can trust.

The QueenConcerts.com website started in 2002 , a year before the website you are currently on. He had run a website called Mr.Scully’s Queen Of Rock and it was closed due to a letter from EMI. The new era of QueenConcerts has proved very popular mainly due to the amazing level of updates that Martin puts on the site.  It has to be THE Most accurate account of the Tours and Concerts of Queen.

There is so much information on this site if you have been at one of the Queen tours over the years. Also on the website please take note of the gallery of ticket stubs, Queen tour programs and other band memorabilia that is shown on the QueenConcerts website.

Visit the website by clicking the link below.

Queenpedia – the Queen Encyclopedia

Queenpedia – the Queen Encyclopedia

Queenpedia

The Queenpedia site is known as the Queen Encyclopedia. The website is an amazing resource which is being updated all the time. It has become one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date information on Queen on the web.  There is detailed information on all Queen and solo releases, albums, singles, and videos and other items. On the Queenpedia website every album, single and song have their own page showing the release dates, chart positions and much more. The website is run by a dedicated group of Queen fans so that you can be sure that the information contained within this Queen Encyclopedia is as correct and updated as it can be.

The site is an ever evolving work and it is continually being added to. The site contains all the information you need to know about the band history and how Queen formed. It also covers the pre-queen era which is important, looking at Smile, Ibex and other bands the members were in. you can check out the Queen discography, bibliography, sessionography and videography – all great content for any dedicated Queen fan. If you have an interest in Queen concerts and Queen live , then you can get all the information here. There is so much more including a great list of facts and figures such as Queen songs used in commercials ; interesting to see the Flash Adverts in the UK not listed on the site. There is also a links section which has a link back to my own Queen Fan Site (thank you webmaster)

      QueenVille – Queen Fan Site

      QueenVille – Queen Fan Site

      Queenville

Queenville is a Queen Fan Site which has been running since 2009 and the site contains blog-style content on all things Queen. The content on the Queenville blog is updated regularly and there is a lot of historical content on this site going all the way back to when the Queenville site started back in 2009.

While re-writing this review of the Queen fan site, I noticed at (at the time of writing this review, October 2021), the blog had not been updated since 2018 and the launch of Bohemian Rhapsody. In saying that, there are blog archives going back to 2009. There are about 200 blog posts during this time – so as a historical tinmeline of Queen activity, this website should act as a timecapsule.

Perhaps at some point the webmaster might come back to the site and the Queen Ville website might be back up and running with up to date content. There is also a nice link back to my Queen site so thanks to the website owner for that !

      Queen Archives

      Queen Archives

      Queen Archives

The Queen Archives are a collection of Queen Interviews, Articles, Reviews and Magazine Covers from over the years. The site seems to have a lot of content and I was surprised by the number of articles and reviews.

If you have an interest in reading more about Queen then you should really take a look at this site. The Concert Reviews are most appealing to me as I have a real interest in Queen’s live performances, for example, The Times review Queen Live at Wembley in 1986.

The Queen Archives website is very well structured so you can always find what you are looking for. The main navigation is split between Interviews, Articles, Reviews and Press Releases and under each of these optios, you have a section for Queen, Freddie, Roger, Brian and any other collaborations such as Queen+ Paul Rodgers. It’s a really well put together website. I’m not sure if the website is still being updated as there are no timestamps or dates beside each article to say when it was last updated but even if that is the case, it has a lot of great Queen related information, a lot of which is not available anywhere else on the web.

So must reading to be had here – Enjoy

      Queen Songs

      Queen Songs

      Queen Songs

QueenSongs is a Queen Fan site with a difference. This Queen Fansite has very interesting information about Queen’s songwriting and the details of the recording of Queen songs.

The Queen Songs Fan Site a very interesting album section which has information including Queen song and album timelines, Queen’s recording venues, the crew and recording teams, the instruments which Queen used, and studio equipment dedicated to each of band’s and solo albums.

As a musician, this really interests me so I’m sure there are others out there who this will appeal to. It is especially useful to me at the moment, October 2021, as I’m in the middle of preparing a show for the Queen Tribute band Celebrating Queen ; as I’m keyboardist and musical director for that show. So this Queen songs site is particularly useful to me at the moment.  The Twitter account was active in late 2018 and there is a new Twitter address of https://twitter.com/songs_queen so I would assume the site is still being updated as of October 2021. There is even a link back to my own Queen Site so many thanks to the webmasters at Queen Songs for the nod.

      QueenZone

      QueenZone

      Queenzone is now closed

QueenZone.com began its life as Richard’s Queen Page in 1995 and since then has had various revamps and website updates.

The Queenzone website has a lot of content and there is an interactive forum where you can log in and get access to a community and other content. This website was one of my favourite places to visit when I was first getting into Queen. It had an excellent discussion forum and was a good stopping off point for any Queen fan who wants something more interactive or Queen community-based. I wasn’t overly sure if there have been updates in the past 12 months but the site was certainly worth at one stage due to the many years of content building.

In October 2020 I was shocked to hear that the QueenZone site and the related online Forums were closing down.

I visited the site in November 2020 and I saw a big basic HTML page with the sad title ‘Queenzone.com is now closed‘. I am very sad to see it go as it was a great companion during the early days of the Queen based internet – before everyone went on to Facebook for discussions.

The website address http://www.queenzone.com/ is still active but I don’t know if there will ever be content there again.

For those involved in QueenZone – thanks for the efforts and content over the years !!
