This is a re-release as far as I can see as an initial version was available around 1984. The video has some very good tracks and really gets going. The tracklisting is very good and will interest most Queen fans. Some versions do not have ‘Jailhouse Rock’ however. This video was recorded at the Forum, Montreal, Canada, 24th-25th November 1981. (Little did we know the change in Queen’s fortunes exactly 10 years later.)
This was one of the first Queen concerts which I saw. It was broadcast on a UK Satellite channel around 1993/4 and I taped it. It was probably the first time that I saw a drum solo when Roger takes to the kettle drums (timpani) and does a very energetic drum solo. For me, the standout tracks were Somebody to Love, Play the Game, Save Me (I particularly like the piano in this version and I now play it this way in my own Queen Tribute Band) and Under Pressure (which would have been a very fresh track at this stage).
