This video (the VHS) later became a new DVD called “Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest”. it is the same concert but is now a concert film of the Queen’s performance at the Népstadion in Budapest on the same day, 27 July 1986. The concert was released as mentioned on VHS and Laserdisc in the UK and Japan on 16 February 1987 under the original above title Queen Live In Budapest, and on DVD and BluRay for the first time on 5 November 2012 worldwide, except in the USA where it was released one day later. Quen chose the title of the DVD because it is a play on the ‘Hungarian Rhapsodies’ by Franz Liszt and a combined play on Queen’s most celebrated hit, “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
I have watched this concert and it bears a lot of resemblance to the Queen live at Wembley 86 album, of course, it was the same tour, but I prefer the production on the Wembley concert. I do like the additional shots of Queen touring around Budapest and for that it is certainly worth a further look.
