Review
The late, great George Michael stole the show (and placed himself in the eyes of the tabloids as a possible replacement for Freddie) when he sang at the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert in April 1992. The Five-Live EP was released as a result of the success of the show and reached No. 1 in the UK.
There was one omission from the EP, and that was George and Brian doing ’39, which is a lovely song and would have been nice to see as a track.
There are only 6 tracks and this may not appeal to everyone, but please remember that proceeds from this disc will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, an international AIDS foundation, in the memory of Freddie Mercury.
Review Rating: 8.5/10
This EP contains a brief note from George Michael.
The 5 Live EP Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert single is quite rare now but a good one for Queen fans to listen to and enjoy.
