The new Queen book, “Queen Unseen” by Queen Roadie, Peter Hince, has hit the shops… but over the past few weeks, I have had 2 copies of “Queen Unseen” to be won on Shane’s Queen Site.
The winners were selected over the past 24 hours – in the interest of fairness I asked a 3rd party to select a short list of 3 and the final winners were selected from this list.
I am delighted to announce that the Winners of the copies of the book are…..
Donna StandridgeandRyan Cregan
Congratulations and thank you to all who took part. I will be in touch by email with the winners in the coming week.
The Queen Unseen book covers all the areas that were relevant in Queen’s working life, during Peter Hince’s time as Queen’s longest-serving roadie and head of their crew. There’s lots of new material and surprises for Queen fans and it is a book to interest anybody who likes stories of rock and roll life in the 1970s & 1980s. Many Thanks to the Author Peter Hince and John Blake Publishing for organising the copies for this competition.
Shane McDonald – Keyboards Audition for Queen Extravaganza
I have uploaded my keyboards Audition for Queen Extravaganza to YouTube. I don’t being in Ireland they would accept my entry into the USA version of the Queen Extravaganza contest but nevertheless I recorded one anyway just to take part in some shape or form, online. My keyboards version of I Want to break Free is below and I might add a few more to this collection and this post in the coming weeks. Hopefully Queen Extravaganza will come to Europe / UK at some point in the future and I can submit a european Audition for Queen Extravaganza. I would love to take part in a more serious nature with Queen Extravaganza. Let me know what you think!

On that site I have a music section and one of the tools is called the Piano Chordmap which is basically How do I play piano Chords in a graphical way.

Top 100 Queen Songs of 2007 : As voted by web site visitors
These are the Top 100 Queen songs as voted using the Top Songs form on queen.shanemcdonald.org. The votes were cast between Jan 1st 2007 and Dec 31st 2007.
As can be expected Bohemian Rhapsody topped the poll but when compared to the 2006 Results the biggest moves were Seven Seas of Rhye up 7 from last year and Breakthru dropped from 18th to 27th position in the poll. The system will be reset in the coming days to see if 2008 has a similar result.
