Auditions begin September 19th at www.queenextravaganza.com and the tour, booked by powerhouse agency CAA, launches in 2012.
My Thoughts on the Queen Extravaganza
Personally I don’t see how they can secure the most talented band to perform Queen’s music by limiting the search to North America, as more talented persons may live out side this very limited catchment area. I myself will submit a Queen Extravaganza entry on Keyboards. I am a Queen Keyboard Player in Ireland, I play nearly all Queens hits on Keyboards … who knows they might change their minds on who can enter.
Farrokh Bulsara was born on Thursday, 5th of September 1946 on African spice island of Zanzibar, to parents Bomi and Jer Bulsara. Today Freddie Mercury would have been 65 years old and would surely have being rocking away, “not bad for 4 aging Queens”. The Freddie Mercury 65th Birthday is marked by radio stations and TV channels running specials about Queen.
Today we remember arguably the greatest musical and rock performer who ever lived. Today – Freddie Mercury 65th Birthday !
Farrokh Bulsara was born on Thursday, 5th of September 1946 on African spice island of Zanzibar, to parents Bomi and Jer Bulsara. In 1954, aged 8 years, Freddie started to attend British College School, St. Peter’s in Panchgan (near to the city of Bombay). At this time his schoolmates started to call him by the name of Freddie. The school was typically British and in sports Freddie was very strong in boxing and in table tennis, winning many trophies and medals. Freddie also loved art and music and showed great talent in both areas ; playing the piano and performing in school shows and also joining the school choir.
