Freddie For A Day started when Liz Swanton raised over £1,200 by spending a working day dressed as Freddie back in the early ’90s. It was such a great fundraising idea that it was decided to make it an annual event coinciding with Freddie’s birthday which occurs on 5th September. Freddie for a Day is a fun, way to raise money for the Mercury Phoenix Trust charity which is spent fighting HIV/AIDS worldwide.
