There are a lot of internet rumours at the moment that Queen are working on some tracks which were laid down in the early 80’s. These tracks feature Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson who at the time were good friends. I do remember that aeround the mid 80s I would have liked a lot of Michaels tracks but myself, I never really felt that Michael Jacksons vocals were as strong or as emotionally charged as Freddies vocals. (As an aside and an interesting fact, Micahael and Freddie quit the project as Freddie was put off by Michael having an alpacca or a lama in the recording studio.)

Apparently Queen drummer Roger Taylor, has said that it was Michael who suggested they release “Another one Bites the Dust” as a single which became Queens biggest hit in the U.S.A.

Freddie and Michael laid down 3 tracks called “Victory”, “State of Shock” (later released with Mick Jagger) and “There must Be More to Life than This” (later released on Freddie’s solo album Mr. Bad Guy). These Michael Jackson Freddie Mercury tracks or demos were never finished.

The rumour mill has pointed to an interview with a Belgian magazine where Roger Taylor said, “We are now working on some never-before-released songs that Freddie made with Michael in the early 80’s. I’m not allowed to say too much about it but they sound incredible!”.

What do you think? Would you like to hear these Michael Jackson Freddie Mercury Tracks? Let me know in the comments below what your thoughts are on these old and rare recordings.
