Les Paul Special 2 – Electric Guitar

In August 2002, I decided to invest in an electric guitar and after much consideration I eventually purchased a Les Paul Ephiphone guitar. The guitar was purchased in the well known music shop, Waltons, in Dublin for €250. I also purchased a Boss BR-532 Digital Recording Studio, this had a built in effects board, which was easier than buying individual effects boxes. The sound from the guitar is excellent, however the action seems a little tricky. It took me a little time to experiment and I was eventually able to get a feel for the guitar. The Guitar details and technical specifications are listed below. It is an extremely playable guitar, with a satin-finished neck and 24 – 3/4″ scale. The pickup has two open-coil humbuckers; Smooth Tone potentiometers (one volume, one tone); and Epiphone’s exclusive new four-blade, three-way toggle including treble and rhythm. Cosmetics include chrome finish, Dovewing headstock, and the E-Series logo.
