This is a great video of a Boeing 747 landing at the now decommissioned Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong.
I actually flew from Hong Kong International (Chek Lap Kok) to Kai Tak and landed a 737-800 back in April 2011 which was brilliant and in this video I recognise Chequerboard Hill where I started the turn in to land at Kai Tak flying over the buildings. … my flight however was in a fully equipped 737 simulator and not the real thing, but the flight sim experience in Singapore was realistic enough.
This video shows the full view from approach, turn, and finals.
I recently setup a poll for the Best Movies of the 1980’s but TV Adverts from the 80s are some of the most memorable. From a finger of fudge to the Milkybar kid, those songs are still engrained on peoples memories. … well if you grew up in the 80s that is!
There’s a great one on the final set of videos (2nd last advert) … “You never know what’s around the corner, so Don’t Run” … what was that selling?
Anyway, I have placed some videos of Television Adverts from the 80’s below … whats your favourite advert? I might create a poll around this at some point. Do you remember any of these?
This is a great video of a goalkeeper who saves a penalty and starts to celebrate the penalty save. The goalkeeper saved the ball but the spin on the ball means that the ball continues to roll into the net while the keeper continues to celebrate – kissing his badge, even though the stadium is almost empty.
This too place September 10th, between Maghreb Fez and FAR Rabat in a decider for the quarter-finals of Morocco’s Coupe du Trone. The penalty shootout decide the winner and it was during this penalty shootout, FAR goalkeeper Khalid Askri thought he saved an important penalty and immediately began to celebrate his save. He turns his back on the goal, patting his chest and kissing his badge … what he didn’t notice is that the ball had some lots of spin on it and actually bounced and rolled back into the goal after his initial block. The referee nods and awards the goal and Askri’s team ended up losing the shootout 7-6.
A very funny sporting blooper which is sure to end up on some sports bloopers DVD for Christmas…
I found this on-line and just thought it was a great idea of how twist in a news story can make for a great marketing viral video. Although this video is funny – the placing of cats into bins is not.
As you know in England a woman put an unfortunate and defenseless cat into a wheelie bin. That video went viral. The video below is a great turn around on that and it too has gone viral – with a very obvious outcome.
The latest on the woman who put the cat in the bin is that she thought it was funny at the time and that it was really out for character for her. The bank clerk enraged cat and animal lovers around the world when she was caught on the cat owners CCTV footage grabbing 4 year-old Lola the cat by the scruff of the neck and tossing her in a bin. The RSPCA had meetings with her today and are deciding on their next move.
The backlash is that death threats have been made against her online (with some Facebook groups setup against her, not the viral publicity one would want), she said she was “profoundly sorry” for her actions against the cat.
Kilkenny v Tipperary Update – September 2nd
Tipperary supporters have taken this on board and there is a viral video on YouTube of a Tipperary woman putting the Kilkenny Cat into the Bin.
“5 in a Row My Arse”? … Lets wait until Sunday and see…. odds of a draw are only 12/1, but I think Kilkenny could do it but it will be a close game…..
